Research Workshop
E-Learning: a discussion of issues
Dr Mary McMahon
Tuesday 2 July 2013 2pm - 3pm
WA0.19 Avon Building, Westwood campus
The Centre for Lifelong Learning is hosting a number of teaching and learning events as part of its summer technology term. We are delighted to announce that Dr Mary McMahon, Senior Lecturer at The University of Queensland, Australia, will be joining us as part of an Institute of Advanced Studies Fellowship with Warwick IER. Mary uses e-learning methods to teach across the considerable distances presented by Australia’s geography. The discussion will initially focus on her teaching experiences and methods in this context and then move to a more conversational format where we will be able to ask questions in person and via the web and share some of our own experiences with e-learning.
Mary McMahon is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Education at The University of Queensland, Australia where she teaches career development and narrative career counselling. Her research focuses on the career development of children and adolescents, narrative career counselling and qualitative career assessment.
This event is suitable for anyone involved in the facilitation of e-learning. Attendance can be in person or via webinar. There is no charge and attendance is through registration only.
