Unibuddy Community

Unibuddy Community is an online platform that helps you connect with other new students at the University of Warwick. It’s your space to chat with classmates, future flatmates, students from your country, those who share your interests and hobbies, and more!

Joining the Warwick Unibuddy Community gives you the chance to meet other students virtually and get to know each other before you start your course – it’s a great way to find your people, feel settled in and more at home here.

I've joined the Warwick Community - what next?

To get the best experience from Community and connect with like-minded people, we recommend completing all the fields on your profile. Add details such as the course you’ll be studying, your country of origin, hobbies and interests, a short bio, and your pronouns if you’re happy to share them. A complete profile helps others get to know you and makes it easier to find common ground.

Joining a group: Head to the 'Home' tab to see groups that are available to join. We recommend starting with the department group that is most relevant to you - it's a great way to meet your future coursemates. There are also lots of general interest groups, including 'Accommodation', 'Sports at Warwick', 'Clubs, Societies and Social Life', and more.

Private messaging: Found someone that you want a one-on-one conversation with? Click the speech icon 💬 next to their name to invite them to a private chat.

Exploring content: Visit the 'Home' tab to browse our rich library of student-led content. You can discover students' personal stories of their time at Warwick, useful tips, and subject-specific advice.

Once you've joined a group or started chatting directly with someone, your messages will appear in the 'Inbox' tab so that you can easily continue the conversation.
