Adult Groups in Adventurous Activities Disclaimer

The People we refer to as ‘walk leaders/supervisors’ are trained and experienced, but not necessarily qualified. We recommend you listen to the advice given to you by your walk leader/supervisor, but you must ultimately make your own decisions as a competent adult.

Warwick DofE society is not affiliated to the British Mountaineering Council (BMC), but we agree with their participation statement: “The BMC recognises that climbing and mountaineering are activities with a danger of personal injury or death. Participants in these activities should be aware of and accept these risk and be responsible for their own actions”.

Acknowledgement of risk statement:-

I am aware that Hillwalking/expeditions contain hazards which may present me with the risk of personal injury. I have read and understand The Scout Association’s factsheet Adult Groups in Activities (FS120087).

By attending this trip and signing this statement, you are acknowledging and accepting these risks.
