I am a social and cultural historian of medicine interested in activism and voluntary action, social policy construction, health, expertise, experience, and childhood in twentieth century Britain. I am passionate using rigorous research to engage with policymakers, practitioners, charities, and members of the public.

I completed my PhD in September 2015 and am now a Public Engagement Research Fellow on a Wellcome Trust Senior Investigator Award, 'The Cultural History of the NHS'. To learn more please see my staff webpage.
