Connections from our 2015-2025 graduates

Warwick families

Anita and her cousins

Anita, Samita, and Kerry

Anita Chagar (BA English Literature, 2015), Samita Sall (BA History, 2018) and Kerry Flora (BA French with Spanish, 2022) are all cousins and Warwick alumnae. We caught up with them to talk to them about their time on campus, their favourite memories from their time here and what they’re doing now.

Warwick love stories

Shreena on her wedding day

Shreena Sheth

BSc International Business with French, 2017

Chand and I met on floor 3 extension in the library back in 2014 - he asked me to borrow a highlighter (though he was working on a PowerPoint with no paper…) and the rest was history… We’ve celebrated ten amazing years together and been married for three years! Visiting campus in April brought back some fond memories. We’re grateful to have shared some of our favourite moments here together.

Journeys since Warwick

Lizzie with her award

Lizzie Hart

BA Theatre and Performance Studies, 2024

Lizzie Hart has won the Comedy Production Award at The Pitch Film Fund 2025 Awards. Lizzie’s winning pitch, Kitty, is a laugh-out-loud romcom about a charismatic neurodivergent shop assistant grappling with her first crush, a treasure hunt, and the perfect jumper.

Luke Walton, founder of The Pitch, said: “In sixteen years of pitch finals I have never seen an entire panel in tears and roaring with laughter at the same time – when you are running a film fund Lizzie is the raw new talent you dream of finding. Combining that with bringing a genuinely unheard voice to the screen made for an exceptional pitch.”

Well done, Lizzie!

Memories of Warwick

Minali Sanghani

BSc Management, 2021; MSc Management of Information Systems and Digital Innovation, 2023

Warwick has been a special and pivotal place for me! Not only have I met friends who have become family, but I have also been consistently inspired by the culture of diversity, hard work, and determination throughout my 4-year journey! It has shaped me into who I am today, and I will always be grateful for every memory!

Shira's poetry

Shira Wolfe

MA International Performance Research, 2017

As an MA student in the MAIPR (Master of Arts in International Performance Research) program, I spent one semester in 2015 at the University of Warwick, before travelling on to Trinity College Dublin and the University of the Arts Belgrade. The MAIPR program and my education at Warwick allowed me to combine theory and practice in a way I had longed for, within high-quality academic institutions. During MAIPR, I experimented with using poetry in my performative practice and my dissertation. This journey eventually led me to remain in Belgrade after graduating, where I lived for many years, learning the language and working on artistic projects. Meanwhile, I started writing a book, which moves between poetry and prose, capturing scenes of life in the Balkans and my MAIPR dissertation project in Palestine. The book is now appearing with The New Menard Press, the UK imprint of Dutch publishing house HetMoet.

I am now announcing the publication of my poetry collection Jugoslovenska Kinoteka, appearing at the end of January 2025 with The New Menard Press.
