Warwick University Travelling Museum

Interested in real Ancient Artefacts coming to your School?

If you are a local Coventry or Warwickshire school and are interested in finding more about the travelling Museum and how your pupils might be able to get up close to some real ancient artefacts, please email Dr Paul Grigsby at Paul.Grigsby@Warwick.ac.uk. A number of sessions are currently being developed by our students to roll out late Spring/early Summer 2023. These will be part of our 'lessons-in-a-box' offering which can be loaned to schools for teachers to lead sessions themselves, or can be part of sessions led by our Warwick students.

If you would be interested in helping us develop these workshops we would love to hear from you, so please do get in touch.

The boxes are currently being developed so watch this space. But while you wait...thanks to a grant from the Warwick Innovation Fund, the WCN and Dept of Classics and Ancient History have created teaching resources based on some of the artefacts in our collection. These consist of themed topics for teaching, each linked to specific objects, with teaching resources to accompany The resources can be used without access to the artefacts.

Thank you to our amazing Undergraduate students Jasmine, Kelsi, Richa, Rhys and Simonne for putting these fantastic resources together! And to Postgrad Jacqui Butler for the Daily Life in the Roman Home session.
