Sumana Ray
Before joining Warwick, I have completed BA (Hons) in English Literature and MA in English Literature, both from the University of Calcutta in India. I have also completed MA in English Studies (20th Century English Literature) from the University of Birmingham. My MA thesis was based on the Indian Nobel-Laureate Rabindranath Tagore and was titled, “Translating Tagore: A Diachronic Perspective of the Challenge to his Poetry in the West”. I was supervised by Dr. Alison Johnson for my thesis. I have also completed PGCE (Post-compulsory Education & Training) from the University of Greenwich and am a Lecturer in English at Bournville College of Further Education in Birmingham.
