Celebrating Dickens: Celebrating 200 years of Charles Dickens (7 February 1812 - 9 June 1870)
In December 2011, I became involved in University of Warwick's 'Celebrating Dickens' project, which sought to examine the author's life and works within the context of the Victorian era and coincided with the Dickens bicentenary celebrations. Drawing on Charles Dickens' close involvement with charity throughout his life and works, I was interviewed by Professor Jon Mee about Dickens' complex relationship with Victorian philanthropy and female philanthropists.
