Research Interests

I have a PhD in English and Comparative Literary Studies from Warwick. My research and teaching interests include the capitalist world-system, petrocultures, energy humanities, postcolonial literature and theory, and the Gothic. My current research explores petrofictions, the heavily gendered capitalist world-system, and the twinned exploitation of peripheralised female figures and natural resources by neoliberal capital.
