Bio
Janneke Beerman is a PhD Candidate in the Department of English and Comparative Literary Studies. She lives on a small tropical island called Curacao and visits Warwick University regularly. Her doctoral research explores the transition from contemporary Caribbean fictional national novels to sites of multiple belonging by using comparative analysis. Her project is supervised by Professor Paulo de Medeiros
Teaching
Janneke has taught undergraduate and graduate modules at Tio University (2015-2017) and the University of Curacao (2017-2021). She has supervised MA/BA theses in education/literature research areas. Next to this, she has been a member of the Exam Committee of the University of Curacao for five years.
