 Travel

ghost-ship-dvd2-1

Should you want to get to us by domestic or International flight, Birmingham International is one train stop before Coventry.

It is worth pointing out to people who are visiting for the first time that the University of Warwick is not actually in Warwick. Coventry is the nearest mainline rail station.

There are a number of buses from outside Coventry station to the central campus bus interchange. 12X is the fastest and most direct route, the 11 and 11U take longer. You can buy a ticket in advance, on your mobile, or on the bus (you need the correct change). More information on bus costs and times here.

There are also plenty of taxis at the station too (see where to get dropped off in next section)

If you are travelling by train within the Midlands, and using services operated by the Centrocard Scheme and Midland Metro, ask about a day card that covers the train and the bus (these are accepted on the buses to campus) they cost around £8.50 for the whole return journey (please check prices online).

Information about travelling to campus can be found here.

Conference Venue
to zeeman

The event will be held in Zeeman Building (aka. Mathematics and Statistics) based in the central campus of the University of Warwick, Coventry, CV4 7HP.

We will be in the Foyer area known as “the Street” for registration/refreshments on the ground floor, and then talks take place in lecture rooms on the second floor.

An interactive campus map can be found here.

If you travel by bus, it is easiest to get off at the central terminal and follow either my red or blue routes on the map above (c.5-10mins walk). Or head down from the bus interchange past the Warwick Arts Centre, following that road round all through central campus. At some point you will then reach a sort of junction near some pedestrian crossing traffic lights and a side road to the left just after it. Stop at these lights and if you look slightly to the right you should see a building with WMG on the side; you want to turn right there, walk across the cobbled/paved area and will then see a stretch of water in the centre. Zeeman is in the top left corner.

If you are getting a taxi from the station get them to drop you off either by the Lord Bhattacharya centre, or WMG and it will be a short walk.
