Governance

The Head of Department has primary responsibility for the governance and management of the department, as required by University Regulation 1: Departmental Management StructuresLink opens in a new windowLink opens in a new window. They are advised and assisted by all of the ECLS community, through the committees and groups, by academic staff appointed to academic admin roles, and by professional services staff (PSS).

All ECLS staff are expected to play an active role in governance, reading and responding to information circulated by the Head of Department and other members of the ECLS office, and attending and participating in relevant committees and other meetings and events.
