Possible ideas for papers include, but are not limited to:

Fact or fiction; truth and lies; storytelling; oral/written traditions; the writing/rewriting of history, such as postcolonial rewriting; the impact of translation; simultaneous narratives, 360° narratives, plurality of perspectives; authenticity; official and unofficial histories; ‘Histoire(s) oubliée(s)’; cultural history; ‘Herstory’; history in crisis and crises in history; durability of history; the potential ‘end of history’.

Papers should be no more than 20 minutes in length. Abstracts in French or English of no more than 300 words to be submitted to: 2001.group@warwick.ac.uk. Deadline for submission: 18 December 2009
