Applications for Leverhulme Early Careers Research Fellowships 2021 call

Leverhulme Early Career Research Fellowships 2021

Applicants seeking the support of the Department of History in this year's Leverhulme ECF competition are offered the following guidance.

The Department is able to nominate only 2 applications to the internal Faculty competition for University support for a Fellowship. To select those two candidates the Department requires the following material to be submitted to both the Director of Research and the Research administrator (mark.philp@warwick.ac.uk and n.dandara.1@ warwick.ac.uk) by 8 am on Monday January 4, 2021.

Candidates need to submit a two-page project proposal and a copy of their CV (max 2 pages). The candidate's proposed mentor will be asked to comment on his/her proposal. The History Department will then select its two preferred candidates and submit these to the Faculty process.

The Faculty selection process will be completed by Friday 22nd January.

This would leave the four selected candidates with just over a month to finalise their proposals before the Leverhulme Trust's deadline of 25th February.

The History Department very strongly recommends that candidates are in discussion with their proposed mentor well before that deadline to ensure that their application is agreed and is as strong as it can be. Questions about the process may be addressed to Prof.Mark Philp at the above address.
