Ukraine Summer School
The History Department were honoured to co-host 20 students from the Ukrainian Catholic University (UKU) in Lviv with the English Department, from 12 - 25 June 2023. Read about the visit in a UKU article published back in July.

Undergraduate 2024 Open Days
If you, or someone you know, are interested in studying one of our undergraduate courses the registration for our October open days is now open.
Our Campus Open Days are the best opportunity for you to know if Warwick feels right for you. Meet our staff and students to find out more about our courses, attend talks and tours of the department throughout the day. There will also be the chance to take tours of the University campus, find out about student societies and sports club as well as view our state-of-the-art campus facilities.

Global History Prize dissertation 2021-22 published
The International History Review journal has published an article by History alumnus Sam Matthews Boehmer, winner of the Global History Prize dissertation from 2021-22.

The Churchwardens' Accounts of England and Wales on the My-Parish virtual platform, co-ordinated by the History department's Professor Beat Kümin, have been updated and are as complete as can be.

PhD Scholarship: The Right-Wing Press and the British World, 1780-1830

Inaugural Eutopia Summer School on the history of violence in Dresden
The inaugural Eutopia Summer School on the history of violence is taking place at TU Dresden from 2-8 July 2023. The school is aimed primarily at undergraduates about to enter their final year of study and will enable exploration of themes such as:
- Historiography of Violence
- Gendered Violence
- Colonial Violence
- Violence in Political Discourse
- Representing Violence
- Drink-Related Violence
Born out of the longstanding relationship between Warwick and Dresden, the summer school is run by scholars from both institutions, providing students access to world-class research and teaching. An amazing opportunity and we wish them well this week!
