Hotspot-secure Ubuntu 12.04 Setup
1. Click the "Network Connections" icon in the top right corner and then select “hotspot-secure” from the list
2. Enter the following settings, including Single Sign On username and password then select "Connect":
- Wireless Security: WPA & WPA2 Enterprise
- Authentication: Protected EAP (PEAP)
- Anonymous Identity: <leave blank>
- CA Certificate: <see step 3>
- PEAP version: Automatic
- Inner authentication: MSCHAPv2
- Username: <your IT Services username>
- Password: <your IT Services password>
3. Under the CA Cerertificate field, select the folder Icon and navigate to the location of your certificate store. In Linux Ubuntu this is located in /etc/ssl/certs and may be different on other flavours of Linux. Select the “AddTrust_External_Root.pem” certificate.
4. Verify the settings and then click Connect.
5. The connection will now be negotiated, followed by a "Connection Established" message.
Once complete you will be able to access the Internet.
