Belén Rodríguez Salvatierra is a PhD student in Translation and Transcultural Studies at the University of Warwick. Her research is supervised by Dr Olga CastroLink opens in a new window and Dr Caroline SummersLink opens in a new window, and funded by a Chancellor’s International Scholarship.
Research
Her doctoral project studies literary works of fiction in English translation by contemporary Chilean women writers published in the US and the UK between 2013 and 2025. Applying a decolonial and feminist perspective, she aims to both investigate the authors’ representation in the English-language literary market and to analyse the barriers they face when trying to enter this industry.
