MA in Translation and Cultures: Deposits

Welcome to the School of Modern Languages and Cultures MA in Translation and Cultures Deposit Payment System.

Congratulations on receiving an offer to study with SMLC. Please use this form to make a deposit payment.

A £1000 deposit for Full Time students and a £500 deposit for Part Time students on your fees is required to secure your place on this course, to be paid within 6 weeks of receipt of your offer. If your deposit is not received by this date, we will no longer be able to hold your place for you, as a reserve list will be in operation. The deposit is part of your course fee, not extra. If you have any queries regarding the deposit please contact the academic department via SMLCOffice at warwick dot ac dot uk. Please note that, once a deposit has been paid, you will receive a confirmation message entitled “Payment Received Notification”.

Deposits are only refundable under special conditions, namely if you fail to meet the entry requirements (other than the language requirements) or have your visa refused. No refunds will be granted after the start of the academic year.

Your right to cancel

Right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013

In addition to the other terms and conditions specified the following terms shall apply:

  • You have the right to cancel your acceptance within 14 days without giving any reason.
  • The cancellation period will expire after 14 days from the day of your acceptance.
  • To exercise the right to cancel, you must inform us, The University of Warwick, University House, Kirby Corner Road, Coventry, CV4 8UW (Email: SMLCOffice@warwick.ac.uk), of your decision to cancel your acceptance by a clear statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or e-mail).

To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right to cancel before the cancellation period has expired.

The University of Warwick will process your personal data provided in this online application form solely for the purpose(s) of registering and making your deposit payment for your chosen course in relation to the MA in Translation and Cultures. The information provided on the application form may also be used to contact you with relevant information in relation to progress of your deposit payment.

Your personal data will not be shared or disclosed to any third parties external to the University of Warwick.
