Cristina VitiLink opens in a new window is a poet and translator working with Italian, English and French. Recent publications include poetry collections by Etel Adnan (Notte, San Marco dei Giustiniani 2018), Mariangela Gualtieri (Beast of Joy, Chelsea Editions 2018), Anna Gréki (The Streets of Algiers, Smokestack Books 2020), as well as Elsa Morante’s The World Saved by Kids (Seagull Books 2016), shortlisted for the John Florio Prize.

Among forthcoming books, translations of a collection by Luigi Di Ruscio, a poet from the Marche who, over forty years, created a prodigious body of work after his daily shifts in a steel factory in Oslo, and of Luca Rastello’s The Rain’s Falling Up, a novel exploring the politics and spirit of the Seventies in Italy.

Current activities include holding collaborative translation workshops within the Radical Translations project run by the French and Comparative Literature departments of King’s College.

She first published her translations in MPT in 2000. Over the past 25 years, she has contributed to the magazine on various occasions while publishing a number of translations with outfits ranging from large international houses to small imprints of artists’ books.
