Postgraduate fees are set centrally by the University (Our MSc courses are Band 2 courses) and for the next year of entry are set* at:

Funding Opportunities

Funding is possible by a range of mechanisms including departmental and university scholarships, an external scholarship or by self/family funding.

Alumni Discount Scheme

Have you considered your options and next steps? If you are thinking about improving your skills and employability through undertaking postgraduate study, we want to help you by making the option of postgraduate study more affordable to our alumni and graduating students.

We are therefore offering a 10% tuition fee discount for graduates of Warwick accepted onto selected postgraduate masters level courses.

There are no closing dates and Warwick graduates do not need to apply for the discount.

Warwick Chemistry Home Taught Masters Scholarship

These non-repayable scholarships offer a £5,000 bursary to the most academically gifted Home students. These scholarships are only available to students eligible for Home fees and awards are made on the basis of excellence. Award is conditional on commencement of the course.
Up to five scholarships are available for 2022/23.

Eligibility: Chemistry Taught MSc applicants eligible for Home fees status (see more information here). You need to receive an offer of place on the course by 15 July 2022 to qualify.

Application deadline: 15 June 2022

Value: £5,000

Warwick Chemistry Overseas Taught Masters Scholarship

These non-repayable scholarships offer a £12,500 bursary to the most academically gifted overseas students. The scholarships are only available to non-Home students and awards are made on the basis of excellence. Award is conditional on commencement of the course.
Up to two scholarships are available for 2022/23.

Eligibility: Chemistry Taught MSc applicants with Oversee fees status (see more information here). You need to receive an offer of place on the course by 30 April 2022 to qualify.

Application deadline: 31 March 2022

Value: £12,500

Warwick Chemistry Regional Coventry Scholarship

These scholarships are intended for students from the local Coventry area and those studying for undergraduate degree at the Coventry University and offer a £2,000 bursary for eligible candidates. Up to five scholarships are available for 2022/23.

Eligibility: Chemistry Taught MSc applicants studying for undergraduate degree at the Coventry University or students of other universities (excluding Warwick) with permanent out-of-term address in the CV postcode area.

Chevening Scholarship

Chevening Scholarships are the UK Government’s global scholarship programme, funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and partner organisations. The scholarships support study at UK universities – mostly one-year Master's degrees – for individuals with demonstrable potential to become future leaders, decision makers and opinion formers.

Commonwealth Shared Scholarship Scheme

These scholarships are intended for students from developing countries who would not otherwise be able to afford to undertake Master’s level study in the UK, to gain skills and knowledge which will allow them to contribute to the development of their home countries.
This scholarship is available for the MSc in Analytical Science and Instrumentation, for 2022/23 academic year.

Eligibility: Chemistry Taught MSc applicants on the ASI MSc course only. You need to have an active application for a place on the course for 2022/23 to apply.

Application deadline: 16:00 (GMT) on 20 December 2021.

Value: full fees + stipend + travel costs.

NB: If you cannot pay the Warwick application assessment fee, there is a link on the payment page to request the fee to be waived. Please make sure you submit the application and complete a waiver request, otherwise we will not be able to consider your application for the scholarship.

Commonwealth Masters Scholarship Scheme

Funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), Commonwealth Master’s Scholarships enable talented and motivated individuals to gain the knowledge and skills required for sustainable development, and are aimed at those who could not otherwise afford to study in the UK.

You must apply to one of the following nominating bodies in the first instance – the CSC or the University does not accept direct applications for these scholarships.

Warwick Taught Masters Scholarship Scheme

The University of Warwick will offer a minimum of 50 Warwick Taught Masters Scholarship's for 2022/23 entry. TBC
Eligibility: Available to eligible Home and UK domicile EU students from under-represented groups who wish to start a postgraduate taught masters course in 2022-2023.

Application for 2022/23 academic year will open in Spring 2022, with a submission deadline usually in May.

Postgraduate Loans for Taught Masters

A Postgraduate Loan can help with course fees and living costs while you study a postgraduate masters course.
You can apply for a loan of up to £11,570 (2021/22 rate) as a contribution towards your course and living costs. The two-year fixed part-time course is eligible for a postgraduate loan; the flexible two-three year part-time course is not eligible for a postgraduate loan.

Warwick Postgraduate Sanctuary Scholarships

These scholarships will be awarded to students of any nationality who hold one of the following statuses as granted by the UK government: ‘Humanitarian Protection’, Full ‘refugee status’ or 'Asylum Seeker'.

For 2021/22 three fully funded scholarships for postgraduate taught students were offered. Awards made for entry in Autumn 2021 include the following:

  • The full payment of academic fees
  • A maintenance stipend in line with UKRI rates (£15,285 for full-time award holders in 2021/22)
  • Length of funding: 1 year for PGT students

Industrial Scholarships

Both Polymer Science and Analytical Sciences, which are the foundation of our taught MSc focus at Warwick Chemistry, are essential fields in the current chemical industry. As such we have very strong links with several companies in UK and beyond. These companies sponsor not only our PhD students and research but also support the education of the next generation of scientists with the best academic achievements.

Living Costs

While some scholarships provide funding for fees and living costs, many scholarships will only provide funding to cover course fees. The University provides guidance on the expected living costs during study which overseas students are required to demonstrate evidence of prior to acceptance onto the course.
