Peter Scott
Professor of Chemistry
Pete researches in two areas: the discovery of self-assembling molecules as antimicrobials and cancer medicines, and interfacially-active polyolefin materials for recycling and other applications. He is Director of the Institute of Advanced Study, holds a Royal Society Industry Fellowship, leads Warwick's Business Partnerships Grand Challenge, and is Chair of Warwick's Art Collection committee. He is also founder and director of the Warwick spin-out Interface Polymers Ltd. Educated at Salford and Oxford he was a Royal Society European Research Fellow at Universität Konstanz and Ramsay Memorial Fellow at Sussex University.

Biography
Pete's team works on:
-
Molecular Self-Assembly & Drug Discovery with Xiaogang Qu (drug mechanisms) Viktor Brabec (biophysics), Roger Phillips (cancer pharmacology), David Roper (antimicrobials), Nick Waterfield (microbiology), and Lawrence Young (molecular oncology).
-
Polymer materials involving strong collaboration with industry and collaborators include various scientists at our spin-out company Interface Polymers and Infineum where Pete hold a Royal Society Industry Fellowship.
I teach Organometallic Chemistry - part of CH267. Students are very welcome to contact him by usual channels.
