PhD funding opportunities

School of Engineering MPhil/PhD Scholarship Scheme. 3.5 years funding, including full Home tuition fees and a tax-free maintenance stipend in line with the UKRI rates. This is a competitive scheme so get in touch as soon as possible.

Chancellor's International Scholarship. 3.5 years funding for international (including EU) PhD students, including full tuition fees, a tax-free maintenance stipend in line with the UKRI rates, a Research, Training and Supporting Grant. This is a competitive scheme so get in touch as soon as possible.

EPSRC MathSys CDT (Mathemtatics for Real-World Systems). A 1+3 fully funded training programme. In Year 1, students receive an extensive postgraduate training in mathematical techniques and carry out a range of individual and group research projects leading to a MSc degree. In Years 2-4 of the programme student's undertake their PhD in a host lab. Scholarships cover four years of funding, including tuition fees and a tax-free maintenance stipend in line with UKRI rates. BBSRC Midlands Integrative Biosciences Training Partnership. A 1+3 fully funded training programme. In Year 1, students receive a broad interdisciplinary training in modern biosciences, including quantitative skills, enterprise courses and lab masterclasses. Students carryout a number of rotation projects and also undertake a professional intership. In Years 2-4 of the programme student's undertake their PhD in a host lab. Scholarships cover four years of funding, including tuition fees, a tax-free maintenance stipend in line with UKRI rates and generous travel/conference budget.
