Cells & Development cluster research sub-themes
Our investigation of fundamental cellular and organismal processes is encompassed by eight key interrelated subthemes. We collaboratively apply our expertise in structural biology, imaging, proteomics, functional genomics, transcriptomics and classical cell and developmental biology techniques to elucidate the rules of life. We utilise a range of animal (worms, flies, beetles, fish, rodents) and plant (Arabidopsis and others) model species to study both conserved aspects of multicellular life, and how these processes have changed over evolutionary time in response to selective pressures.
