Chloroplast Immunity

Chloroplasts play a pivotal role in plant defence response and are a target of plant pathogens. During the immunity response, ROS are produce by apoplast, mitochondria and chloroplast. Several publications show different pathogen effectors targeting the chloroplast, for this reason, investigating this role in immunity is crucial to improve crop resistance.

Our PhD students Megan and Laura work on this. Feel free to contact them for more information (megan.r.h.lewis@warwick.ac.uk , laura.civolani@warwick.ac.uk)
