Inclusive Education at WMS
Welcome to Inclusive Education at WMS
At WMS, we believe that everyone should have access to the best student educational experience and we have a pivotal role in overcoming societal structures to enable equitable access to HE. Through thoughtful recommendations and strategic actions, we are working together to ensure that every student at WMS receives the support and opportunities they deserve, developing inclusive educational practices and creating learning environments where everyone can thrive. Inclusive Education Projects and Activities
Find out more here about the wealth of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and Justice projects taking place at Warwick Medical School. This space holds information about successful, ongoing and future projects from all over the school. There are annual opportunities (early Autumn) to bid for funding for projects that relate to the Core Priorities of the School (below right). Many projects are student-led or completed in partnership with staff.
Inclusive Education Committee
The Inclusive Education Subgroup (IES) of our Education Committee is dedicated to uncovering and addressing inequalities that impact our diverse student body across all educational levels—whether undergraduate, MBChB, postgraduate taught, or research programs. Through thoughtful recommendations and strategic actions, IES ensures that every student at WMS receives the support and opportunities they deserve, fostering an environment where everyone can thrive. Inclusive Education Hub
At Warwick Medical School, our fantastic teams of educators and those who support learning strive to make their learning inclusive, innovative and equitable for all students. These webpages exist to bring together resources for those who teach or support learning at WMS, to share innovative ideas and to provide food for thought, as we all continue to reflect on our educational practice.
Core Priorities
Each year, we review our annual priorities for WMS, mapped against Warwick's institutional Access and Participation Plan. Our plan is informed by performance against various data including evidence from student satisfaction metrics (NSS, PTES, PRES), formal module evaluation data and informal sources of feedback, in addition to trends over time such as student recruitment and outcome data.
Review this webpage here to learn more about our core priorities, in addition to reviewing areas against which progress has been achieved.
