Induction for Clinical Teachers

The induction for clinical teachers is in two parts.

Part 1 - you can complete in your own time. Start the online webpages and work through the information and activities to reflect on your own practice. There are 10 activities to complete. You must complete this before you attend the live online discussion meeting.

The webpages are password protected, please email wmsfacultydevelop@warwick.ac.uk if you haven't received the password.

Part 2 - attend an Induction for Clinical Teachers day at WMS - please sign up using the link on the final page or in the right hand column.

Who is the Induction for Clinical Teachers for?

The Induction is for anyone who teaches Warwick MBChB students in a clinical location. The induction includes an introduction to the curriculum and the medical school, so even if you have experience of teaching in other places the induction will help you to understand specifically about the Warwick Medical School MBChB course and students.

All clinical teachers are required to complete an induction at the start of their role.

GPs do not need to attend this Induction as you cover this in the GP Network Update meetings and have a different pathway to becoming a medical student educator.

Dates for Induction Days

Please note: We need a minimum of 6 delegates to run an Induction session. If there are fewer than 6 people registered 2 weeks before the Induction date, the session will be cancelled. You will be notified via the email you register with.
