The department has a general safety policy and monitoring policy that reflect the overall Health & Safety Policy Matters relating to Health & Safety within the department are discussed by the Health & Safety Committee. The University has established specific Policies and Guidance on a range of H&S topics, which are supplemented by specific Physics guidance.

The department of Physics works closely with Research Technology Platform (RTP) Groups. A The Health and Safety Responsibilities document is in place to clarify responsibilities between the department and Research Technology Platforms at the University of Warwick.
