*N.B. year 3-4 BSc Digital Technology Solutions and BEng Applied Professional Engineering are not scheduled in Blocks like year 1-2 but available modules are considered at these boards
Purpose of the Exam Board
In order for the University to make the above decisions, all candidates have to be considered by a Board of Examiners, and you will be considered at those of the above boards that apply to your course and year of study. For information, this Board is not a meeting that students are expected or required to attend. It is a staff-only meeting. Criteria for progression and award can be found on your Student Portal (Course Regulations).
Mitigating Personal Circumstances
If there are special factors that affected your performance, please submit a Mitigating Circumstances claim in your personal profile in Tabula (click on Personal Circumstances), by the deadlines provided on your Student Portal (Mitigating Circumstances page). Your claim will be considered by a Mitigating Circumstances Panel, and its recommendation will be considered by the Board of Examiners. More information about the Mitigating Circumstances Process and the types of evidence that can be submitted can be found here:
Please note that while it is acknowledged that cultural attitudes to the disclosure of personal information may vary, students are expected to disclose all matters they wish to have taken into consideration by the Board of Examiners that they think may have had an adverse impact on them in academic terms. Such information is confidential to the Mitigating Circumstances Panel and will not be circulated further than that.
Please note that although Tabula notifies you of dates/times of Mitigation Panels, these are also staff-only meetings that you are not expected or required to attend. You should also not expect immediate feedback as it takes time to process decisions.
Module Marks
You should be able to review the marks which will be presented to the Boards through Tabula Coursework. When fully processed after the Board, you will also see these on your Tabula Modules page.
If you believe there are any errors or inaccuracies in the marks shown, please contact the Student Office.
Graduation and certificates (final awards only)
If the Exam Board recommends a degree (but not a certificate or diploma), then you will be eligible to graduate. Information about graduation is available online https://warwick.ac.uk/services/academicoffice/congregation/ceremonies/
