10.1.2 Job applications by Email
Job applications by Email
This is when they ask you to send your job application to a specific email
Some employers prefer receiving the job application by email. In this case, they would usually say that in the job description. They would say something like to apply for a specific job you would need to email either a certain person or a specific department and they would provide the email address that you need to send to (e.g. xxx@companyname.com).
In addition, they would also specify in the job description what they expect the email to include. For example:
1- Your CV: They might specify the length of the CV.
2- Your cover letter: They might also specify the length of the cover letter or what they expect the cover letter to include.
Sometimes they might also request additional documents to be included in the email.
For information on how to draft and write the email to the employer please refer back to section 8.3.3 in Module 8Link opens in a new window.
