Warwick-based Minerva Business Angels expands to Liverpool to supercharge investment in regional start-ups

Minerva Business Angels, part of the University of Warwick Science Park Ltd, is joining forces with Activate, Liverpool John Moores University and world-leading science campus, Sci-Tech Daresbury, in a partnership aimed at increasing the number of investment funds available to businesses and to help with talent acquisition.

University of Warwick awarded ‘Business Events Venue of the Year’ at inaugural West Midlands Tourism Awards

University of Warwick has been awarded the title of ‘Business Events Venue of the Year’ at inaugural West Midlands Tourism Awards

The conference, meeting and events team at the University of Warwick were awarded the title of ‘Business Events Venue of the Year’ and will now go through to the national VisitEngland Awards for Excellence.


Online tool for carers demonstrated for Minister of State for Care

A new tool to help carers manage the daily challenges of life when caring for a friend or loved one has been presented to the Minister of State for Care at Westminster. Professor Jeremy Dale of the University of Warwick has met with Caroline Dinenage MP from the Department of Health and Social Care to demonstrate Care Companion, a new online support tool developed by Warwick Medical School to support people with caring responsibilities across Warwickshire and Coventry.


Contemporary visions of leadership in Africa explored in new book

The voices and experiences of civic leaders in Africa are the focus of a new book co-edited by the University of Warwick’s Professor Helen Spencer-Oatey. Drawing on case studies and survey data, Developing Global Leaders: Insights from African Case Studies explores the personal experiences of a diverse group of civic leaders from 31 countries across Africa, and shares their insights on transforming leadership in an age of rapid change.


Martin Yardley appointed to role to spearhead the development of the University Of Warwick’s Wellesbourne campus

Warm welcome for Minerva Nottingham as new investment collaboration launches

Minerva Nottingham, a new collaboration between the University of Nottingham, Nottingham Trent University (NTU) and Minerva Business Angels, part of the University of Warwick Science Park, has held its inaugural pitching event at NTU. The new group aims to raise the profile of opportunities both for growth companies and potential investors in Nottingham and the wider D2N2 LEP area.
