Wealthier men less likely to help partners with housework

Men on lower incomes are more likely to help their partners with housework than higher-earners, although women are still by far doing the most around the home, no matter how many hours they work or how much they are paid, according to research by the University of Warwick.

Having right look helps certain leaders reach the top

Leaders in certain fields are being selected in part because their face fits the stereotype of their profession, suggests new research. In a series of experiments designed to find out how well people could place which industry leaders worked in from their face alone, participants could successfully categorise the leaders in business, sport and the military but found politicians difficult.

Warwick researchers forecast a boost for creative jobs in Hull

Hull’s status as City of Culture 2017 will lead to around 3,000 extra jobs in the creative sector in Yorkshire and the Humber, according to forecasts by researchers from the University of Warwick. Their analysis shows the growth rate in the number of job opportunities for dancers, actors, authors and artists in the region will surpass that in London by 2022.
