The Advanced Materials Manufacturing Centre (AMMC) provides a place for our researchers to test manufacturing and assembly processes in realistic conditions. It houses both an Applications Facility and the Advanced Steel Research Centre (ASRC).

The ASRC supports our researchers in developing new processing technologies to transform the (UK) steel industry into a low energy, resilient manufacturing base for high value-added advanced steels, with a focus on strip steels.

  • Clad in metal panels configured in a dazzle pattern, much like the prototype vehicle wraps used in the industry.
  • Offers views of different technical processes as you walk through the building.
  • The building itself represents the engineering capabilities of today.
