Learning Grid Rootes is re-opening

Great news - the Library is opening another of its study spaces, Learning Grid Rootes will be open, Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:45 pm. There will be some differences to usual due to Covid-19 and the necessity to keep everyone safe:

  • There will be approximately 94 study spaces, mostly individual study desks but some collaborative soft seating is also available (with limitation on group size)
  • Spaces will be taken on a first come, first serve basis, so we recommend that you check availability before visiting given there are a limited number of seats. You can do this by viewing our traffic light system online. If the spaces are taken when you arrive, we must unfortunately refuse you access. The space is for individual and quiet study only at this time
  • A limited number of computers will be available
  • A staff member will be on site to maintain safety measures, monitor space availability and provide support for basic enquiries
  • See our list of FAQs, and find out what safety measures have been put in place
