Leamington Learning Grid: Permanent closure

[Updated 17/04/23] We are pleased to advise that we have been given a month-long extension for the Leamington Learning Grid meaning it will now be closing permanently after 23 June 2023. This means the space will stay open through exam season, retaining its usual open hours throughout term 3 and closing at the end of week 9 as usual.

[Original post 22/02/23] The University has been given notice by Warwick District Council (WDC) to vacate the Leamington Learning Grid.

We appreciate this will be disappointing news for those of you who use the facility. During the remainder of the term, the Public Library Service is available for students to use. The Leamington Library now has Eduroam ensuring a secure WiFi connection.

On campus, in addition to the Library, there are a variety of study spaces and social learning spaces, such as in the Oculus and the Learning Grids in University House and Rootes Building. Centrally timetabled teaching rooms can also be used when teaching isn’t taking place. The Library operates a Study Space Availability that shows available study space on campus - you can view availability on the MyWarwick app.

We know that many of you rely on the bus service to get to campus, we’re continuing to work with the current providers (Stagecoach and National Express) to resolve any service issues and meet your transport needs from/to Leamington. We also have the ‘bus on demand’ service, designed to provide a flexible alternative to timetabled buses - please let us know if you have any feedback on this service.

We are continuing to explore options, and we will update you as soon as more information is available.
