Hello and welcome to the 'how to deposit to the publication service and WRAP'.
Firstly navigate to the WRAP homepage WRAP.Warwick.AC.UK and log in using your University of Warwick username and password.
When you are logged in you will see a menu on the left hand side to begin adding records.
Select 'manage deposits'. If you have a PubMed ID or DOI for the item you are depositing you can quickly import the details but if for any reason the record does not import you can do so manually by selecting 'new item'. Select from the drop-down list DOI and click the 'import button'.
Copy and paste the DOI number and click 'import items'.
Add the full text to the record by clicking the 'upload button' and choosing your file. We recommend authors upload the accepted version of the article which is the version after peer review changes but before copy editing by the publisher, as it's the version the majority of publishers will allow us to use.
Add more information about what you have uploaded by clicking the 'options button'; for example selecting the content uploaded and the type of document; and then press 'update metadata'.
You can now edit the record by pressing the 'details button' to go to the next screen, most of these will have been populated from the import process but add more details such as
- the abstract the department in the divisions field
- the status of the record
The bibliographic citation has to have a reference for the article so complete this as best you can.
Also complete the dates of the record and funder and grant number if applicable. When complete click the 'deposit button' at the top of the screen.
This shows an agreement that allows us the right to display your work.
If you agree, select 'deposit item now'.
When deposited the record will be held in a review area and checked by the WRAP team to ensure it conforms to cataloging standards.
It will also be checked for copyright and if compliant made available in WRAP.
That's the end of the screencast, thank you for watching.
