Coventry Railway Station is the main train transport link for Coventry and Earlsdon, around 15-20 minutes to campus by car or bus. It runs frequent trains to:

• London (1-2 hours).
• Birmingham (20 minutes).
• Canley (5 minutes).
• Leamington Spa (15 minutes).

National Express and Stagecoach regularly run buses to get you around Coventry and Earlsdon.

  • 30 minutes to campus from Coventry City Centre.
• 87 Stagecoach.

Please note that the bus stops listed above can get quite crowded at peak times in the mornings which may delay your journey to campus. Please plan your journey in advance!

We understand that our campus-based library may not always be accessible to you, and if this is the case you can use any of the local libraries in the city.

For those living closer to Earlsdon, they have their own library that can come in handy!

Some students also find it helpful to use other local libraries, such as the University of Coventry Library. You can get access to this through SCONUL, a University library scheme that Warwick is also a part of. All local libraries are free to use, both for resources and space- you may just need to register with them.

Living in Coventry offers a whole range of options, check out their student-friendly cafes.

The university campus has multiple areas with printing facilities. These include the Library, alternate study spaces on campus, and the SU.
While some spaces and departments often would help with free printing, most printing facilities would require printer credits.

You could also use a few of the following places to get your printing done:

• Coventry Central Library
• Earlsdon Library
• Coventry Council Digital Print and Mailroom Service
• Stationary Shops like Ryman
• Speciality Stores like Snappy Snaps or Max Spielmann

The Coventry Council also provides guidance on public printing services.

Coventry offers a variety of grocery stores and shops ideal for all students. You can find supermarkets such as Sainsbury's, Costco, Morrisons and Aldi. Coventry also offers up their own Coventry Market.

For Earlsdon, check out your local Co-Op or One Stop!

There are many ways to stay connected with international cultures whilst studying with us. Coventry has a diverse and vibrant cultural landscape, with a wide range of both shops and markets catering to international needs.

We're keen to showcase different international shops, so if you're a student studying here then please let us know where you visit!

One such shop that we've been told of is the Latvian, Russian and Lithuanian food store Rudens, or try The Halal Centre!

There is also the African, Arab and Afghan store for a wide variety!

The City of Coventry has a variety of shops, cafes, and restaurants. Closely packed together you will find West Orchards shopping centre, the Lower Precinct and Broadgate Square offering well-known high street brands and with plenty of places to pick up all of your student essentials too.

On the edge of the city centre you will find Fargo Village - a creative hub which offers a more independent shopping and dining experience.

Central Six Retail park is a short walk from either Earlsdon or the City Centre and boasts a range of shops. There has even been a recommended Latvian shop that you may want to check out!

And don't forget Earlsdons very own high street.

Please make sure to take into account your health needs when looking for your next place to stay. Registering with a GP and finding your nearest Pharmacy is incredibly important. For more guidance, you can also check out our health and wellbeing pages!

Don't forget that you can always look into using the on-campus options as well:

There are a lot of opportunities to get involved with sports end exercise, you can take a look at the different facilities available, simply put in your postcode or choose from a list of indoor/outdoor activities!

Don't forget to check out other group activities, such as park runs!

And for those looking for something more unique, try out the Ballroom Climbing Wall- a dedicated bouldering centre for all abilities. For those who want to integrate sport and study consider joining the University's own Sports and Wellness hub.

Community hubs are local spaces for people living in the area. As a new local resident you may want to explore what activities, services, or events they offer that you could be interested in! Important to note, what’s available varies from hub to hub:
