Financial support


If you’re struggling to meet your essential living costs, please contact the Student Funding team to talk about your options.

There are a number of options that may be available to you including government, bursary and/or hardship support.

Warwick also has a number of bursaries and scholarships that you may be eligible to apply for.


Hardship Funding

If you are finding yourself in short-term financial difficulty and struggling to meet essential living costs, you may be eligible to receive Hardship Funding from the University. This can be in the form of an Emergency Loan and/or a non-repayable award. Find out more.

Disabled Students

Students with children or dependant status

Full-time students may be able to apply for additional non-repayable financial support from the UK Government, including: Childcare GrantLink opens in a new window, Parents' Learning AllowanceLink opens in a new window, Adult Dependants' GrantLink opens in a new window.


Medical (MBChB) students

Home medical students in years 2-4 of their course may be eligible to receive an NHS BursaryLink opens in a new window as well as a grant to cover some travel expensesLink opens in a new window.

Initial Teacher Training (PGCE) students

Home PGCE students on some secondary courses may be eligible for a UK Government bursary.
