North Warwickshire & Hinckley College will officially become North Warwickshire and South Leicestershire College from today, following the launch of their new website.

North Warwickshire & Hinckley College and South Leicestershire College announced their official merge back in August 2016 and have been functioning as one education establishment, although they have continued to operate in their existing names and brands.

Our partner college, which offers our Early Childhood FDA programme and the first two years of study of our 2+2 degree pathway, have been endorsed by Ofsted for the progress by the college since its merge over two years ago.

Both colleges had been federated for three and a half years prior to their formation, firstly sharing a Principal and Chief Executive, Marion Plant OBE. They will also share a joint mission; ‘to achieve success through learning.’

Marion Plant OBE hopes the merge will a help NWHC become a stronger, more agile learning provider in the East and West Midlands, providing richer learning experiences for students and more progression opportunities.

She also hopes to strengthen the college’s offer to local and regional employers in the East and West Midlands, to ensure they are providing a strong pipeline of talented and skilled staff into the industry.

Both campuses will continue to operate under the new name following the website launch. For more information, please visit the NWSLC website.
