Associate Professor of the Social Work Group, Dr Christine Harrison, has put together a video introduction to the MA in Social Work for people interested in studying the course. Dr. Alan Dolan, Associate Professor, Social Work Group and Director of the Centre for the Study of Safety and Wellbeing, was interviewed on BBC Radio 4 last week as part of the Thinking Allowed programme. The topic for discussion was Dr. Dolan's research with a 'Dad's Only' Parenting Project exploring how learning to be a good father can clash with ideals of masculinity as well as traditional notions of fathering.

Congratulations to our Social Work students who have been awarded their Masters in Social Work

The Exam Board took place on Wednesday 10 September and 39 students achieved the University award. Three students passed with Distinction and nine students passed with Merit.

These students are now eligible to apply to the Health and Care Professions Council to register as a social worker. Well done to all and good luck in your future careers!
