If you are currently working in the early years sector or associated field, or simply take an interest in how children learn and develop, the Foundation Degree (FdA) in Early Childhood is just for you. You might be a nursery worker, childminder, teaching assistant, parent, grandparent or a health worker, for example, or simply wish to extend your knowledge and understanding about early childhood. You will also have the opportunity to progress directly from the FdA to a BA(Hons) in Early Childhood at the University of Warwick. This is excellent preparation for Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS) or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) qualifications.
“The teachers are amazingly supportive and knowledgeable in their topics. It’s quite easy to come in and learn about what they’re trying to talk to us about.”
Clare Hinde, current part-time Early Childhood student

We offer the Foundation degree at the University of Warwick and at one of our partner colleges, North Warwickshire and South Leicestershire College.
For courses where we usually hold face-to-face interviews on campus, we will be conducting telephone or online interviews instead and where applicable assessment tasks will be online too. We will contact you prior to your interview to confirm details of these.
