Diversity Dialogues
Unfortunately, this event has been cancelled.
The topic for this Diversity Dialogues session is Festivals of Light and is led by Dr Gurnam Sing, Buddhist Faith Adviser. Gurnam volunteers as a Sikh Faith Adviser at the Warwick Chaplaincy.
Dr Gurnam Singh is an activist researcher, writer, and educator. His work is dedicated to highlighting and disrupting systems and mechanisms of power, privilege and violence that lead to human suffering and inequity. He is a honorary Associate Professor of Sociology, University of Warwick and a Fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts (FRSA). Dr Singh has published on issues related to social justice, anti-racism and decolonisation. Prior to entering academia, he worked as a professional social worker and community activist. In more recent times his work has sought to connect issues of coloniality, capitalism and climate emergency and in particular the role of education.
Refreshments provided and all welcome.
