Leading AI innovation and sustainability in manufacturing
Theo Saville graduated from Warwick with a MEng Manufacturing & Mechanical Engineering with Business Management, in 2015. Alongside his studies, he joined WMG in 2014 as a researcher in Metal Additive Manufacturing, applying 3D printing for counterterrorism and policing applications. At a similar time, Theo founded CloudNC, and is Co-Founder and CEO of the advanced software company which uses AI to fully autonomise manufacturing processes, primarily in precision manufacturing.

A postgraduate social work student turned academic has authored a book, Inside the World of Older Spouse Carers, to explore and challenge assumptions about older spouse carers, which will be published by Palgrave Macmillan in July 2024.

Alex Bowring: Mathematical Consultant, Smith Institute
Maths was always going to be my subject; it was my best subject at school and the subject I most enjoyed. I wasn’t particularly career-minded, just loved doing maths for the sake of maths!
Alex Holmes: Quantitative Associate, NatWest
Population dynamics was a module I did in my third year and was the first time I had been exposed to maths with real world applications. I really enjoyed seeing how techniques I had been using in a real situation. I enjoyed this module enough that I would go on to do a PhD in this topic!
Christine's journey in art, history, and research
Christine works as a gallery tour guide, librarian, and researcher at Compton Verney Art Gallery, where their research on a 16th-century altarpiece is currently exhibited. Motivated by the discovery and sharing of new knowledge, Christine also gives talks on various historical subjects and volunteers at local museums and archives, drawing inspiration from their enriching experience as a mature student at Warwick.
Kieran Kalair: Senior Mathematical Consultant, Smith Institute
During both my MSc and PhD at Warwick, I had several opportunities to communicate research to a range of audiences - some academics, some domain experts from industrial partners, some other students. This is something I am glad I started practicing early, as when I then moved into industry, I was already equipped to talk about science in a range of different ways depending on who the audience was, and what was most relevant to them.

Now pursuing a DPhil in Area Studies at Oxford, Kefan’s journey, influenced by Warwick's supportive community, extends from undergraduate studies to impactful research on social topics across the world, reflecting a commitment to social change and gratitude for formative experiences.
Warwick, career growth, and inspiring education
Rumbie's decision to choose Warwick stemmed from her desire to advance her career and academic pursuits after six years in education. As a senior law lecturer now, she finds fulfilment in contributing to the progress of those she encounters. Rumbie attributes much of her growth and teaching approach to the mentorship she received at Warwick, cherishing the vibrant community and lasting friendships formed during her time there.

Growing up in Coventry it was always a dream of Azzedine Dabo (MSc Analytical Science, 2013; PhD Chemistry, 2019) to study at Warwick. Now working as the scientific lead of GlaxoSmithKline’s (GSK) Method Innovation Team, Azzedine shares the importance of giving young people exposure to university life through outreach programmes like the one he has created at GSK.
