Nicholas Collins -- ePortfolio

About me

I am a final-year doctoral student at the University of Warwick. I conduct my research in the Department of English and Comparative Literary Studies. My main research areas are early modern literature (including Shakespeare), twentieth-century Irish literature and critical theory. I detail my research on my 'Education and Research' page.

Using the navigation pane, you can also find out more details about my studies to date, conferences I plan to attend or to which I am to deliver papers, as well as other details of my academic life in the university.

In 2013-2014 I will be teaching weekly seminars for the undergraduate first year core module EN122 Modes of Reading. I will also teach a one-off seminar on the optional module EN331 Poetry in English since 1945. My students can find more information and additional material about our seminars on My Teaching page -- you can also find this link on the navigation pane.

In 2012-2013 I was very fortunate to be nominated and shortlisted for a STARS at Warwick 2013 award for 'Best Academic for Postgraduates' and nominated for a PGR WATE.

Outside university I have a keen interest in photography, I am a qualified football referee and I have a standing interest in the politics of education. I have online portfolios at Academia.edu and LinkedIn. For more details please see my CV.
