About me
I am a full-time PhD candidate in the Department of English and Comparative Literary Studies.
I joined the University of Warwick in September 2009, after having completed my Masters degree in English (with distinction) from Durham University. I also studied for a Bachelors degree in Durham from 2004-2007.
Prior to commencing my PhD, I was a trainee editor with Orient BlackSwan (formerly Orient Longman) in Hyderabad, India. My focus was on the “Literature in Translation” series. I also briefly worked with the British Council in Mauritius (my homeland) in 2007.
Other than English, I speak (and teach) French and Hindi. The other languages I am fluent in are my ancestral languages, Mauritian Creole and Bhojpuri.
