Arts Faculty Postgraduate Seminar Series 2008-09
The Arts Faculty Postgraduate Seminar Series meets 2-3 times each term, on Wednesday evenings in the Graduate Space (4th Floor Humanities). The seminars offer a relaxed, informal environment in which research students from all departments in the Arts Faculty can present and discuss their research. Works in progress and drafts of conference papers are especially welcome; the seminar series is an extremely useful opportunity to gain experience in giving a conference paper and chairing a panel as well as to engage in academic discussion about your research with postgraduates across other disciplines.
Papers start at 5.30pm, lasting approximately 20 minutes with questions between each, followed by discussion and time to socialise over refreshments at the end - wine, soft drinks, and nibbles are provided.
