Term 1 Week 3 - 22nd October: As we emerge from/grapple with further lockdowns, alongside the approach of Hallowe'en, we discuss Charlotte Perkins Gilman's The Yellow Wallpaper (1892) to think about confinement and madness.

Term 1 Week 7 - 19th November: As the weather changes around us and the nights draw in we will be engaging with ecofeminist criticism.

Christmas break - 16th December: In the throes of the holiday season we will be discussing feminism and theology. We are reading excerpts from Catherine Keller's The Face of the Deep: A Theology of Becoming (Taylor & Francis Group, 2003). We will be led by Fern Ennis this week.
Term 2 Week 1 - 14th January: With the renewal of a new year, we will be discussing what makes us angry feminists anew, this session's theme is Angry Feminism. With readings from Roxane Gay's Feminist Killjoy (2014) and Mona Eltahawy's The Seven Necessary Sins for Women and Girls (2019). To be circulated.
Term 2 Week 5 - 11th February: Valentine's Day is just around the corner, so this week's Valentine's Day Special: Love, Romance and Lust will include readings from Shulamith Firestone's The Dialectic of Sex and Mona Eltahawy's The Seven Necessary Sins for Women and Girls (2019). To be circulated.
Term 2 Week 9 - 11th March: Following International Women's Day we explore reproductive labour, with readings including excerpts from Angela Y. Davis' Women, Race & Class (1981) and Silvia Federici's Wages Against Housework (1975). To be circulated.
Spring break - 16th April: As Spring gets fully underway we consider feminism in our teaching with a feminist pedagogy session, with readings from bell hooks Teaching to Transgress (1994) and Feminist Pedagogy in Higher Education (2015). To be circulated.
Term 3 Week 3 - May 13th: This week we will be engaging with fat as a feminist issue. The session will be led by Ninna Makrinov. Readings TBA and circulated prior to session.
Term 3 Week 7 - June 10th: We will be engaging with feminist approaches to philosophy to unpack some core terms such as 'gender' and 'sex' as historically and culturally dependent concepts. This session will be led by Emily Fincham. Readings TBA and circulated prior to session.
