Suspected Plagiarism Protocol
Reporting Suspected Academic Misconduct
If you suspect a case of plagiarism, unauthorised AI use, or any other form of academic misconduct:

Do not flag the work in Tabula.
This ensures the student is first contacted by a person (not a system notification). The Director of Teaching and Learning (DoTL) will notify the student once an investigation is initiated. -
Email the DoTL with:

The module name and code
-
The specific assessment (e.g., 3000-word Independent Research Essay)

A summary of the concerns

A list of evidence, including:

Screenshots or side-by-side comparisons with sources

Direct links to original sources (not just the Turnitin report)
