The History Department at Warwick welcomes applications from prospective PhD students, in any of the many fields in which we have research strengths.

Applications are particularly invited for four competitions to fund your research: The MidlandsFourCities (M4C) partnership for AHRC funding; Midlands ESRC funding; Warwick’s unique Chancellor’s International Scholarships; and the China Scholarships Council. The first three of these are open to candidates from the UK, Europe and around the world, and the last is reserved for students from China. Details about each of the funding streams, and guidance about how to apply, can be found here. The closing date for applications is January 2022 but it is important that you begin discussions as soon as possible to ensure your proposals are as strong as possible and that you have met all the application requirements.
