RESEARCH
I am a historian with a specialisation in transnational and global history of Central and Eastern Europe in the 20th and 21st centuries. I received my PhD in Comparative History in 2016 at Central European University.
My research explores global-local dynamics, focusing on how international processes shape local contexts and how local political actors, even in – at times – overlooked regions, influence broader international affairs. I approach these larger issues researching the history of borders (real or imagined) and contested borderlands; transnational political ambitions; irredentism and separatism; memory politics; history of international propaganda; and history of international communism.
