Other research interests

My work on Byng, travel, and identity intersects other interests, including a spectrum of travellers and travel literature across the whole of Georgian Britain and the eighteenth- and nineteenth-century world. I also work on memory and remembrance (specifically of the First World War and focusing on Canadian responses to that conflict), civic elites, and the history of Ontario and its people.
